Thank you for getting back to your roots. I see you took my post off, but have at least started giving new info on Mr. Pal's Time Machine. That shows a lot of class. Maybe, in the furture the Draemworks Time Machine will just become a Foot Note. Please keep up the good work, after all you hold in your hands the legacy of HG Wells & George Pal more then someone who wants to be a Producer in Hollywood. Best, Steve G. Posted At 19:52:56 03/24/2002 Hi Steve, I have in the past and will continue in the future to endeavor to cover all aspects of Wells' Time Machine from an unbiased viewpoint. That has always been my goal with this website. It would have been remiss to not cover the Dreamworks film as completely as possible as it is as much a part of Time Machine history as any other. In future I will also be covering Wishbone's "Bark to the Future" and "Time After Time" as well, and yes, even the 1978 TV production with John Beck. Don C. |

Posted At 20:18:35 03/24/2002 I would just like to say that I object to the person who posted this string calling himself "Fan" and then using my name "Stev G." as signature. I Steve G. am not the person who calls himself "Fan" but am another person, just as anonymous yet different in my very own, unique and special way. Anybody else calling himself "Fan", "Fan of The Time Machine" or other such inadequate or misleading moniker and then signing "Steve G." is clearly trying to represent something else other than the true meaning of the intended wording. |

Posted At 13:09:56 03/25/2002 I am new to this site and, on my first look on the message board, I was pleased to see someone thankful enough for the extroardinary work the creators of this site have done to say so. I, for one, think that if everyone was as thoughtful and caring as Steve, the world would be a far better place ! |

Posted At 19:02:51 03/25/2002 Ms Baker, it’s quite obvious you’re new to this site ! That seemingly “born again” Steve G spent the last two weeks posting insulting accusations towards Mr. Coleman containing such foul language that Mr. Coleman was forced to take the posts off !!! I question that any of these new posts are from “Steve G.” at all and certainly, if they are from the same person, then he is quite a hypocrite. Just a few days ago, he was calling all supporters of Mr. Coleman “clicks” and “suckups” !!! Also, he said that Mr. Coleman only put time and effort on his site “because he had nothing better to do” … I, for one, don’t care to read ANYTHING that Steve G (or whoever he pretends to be) has to say anymore. I have not forgotten any of his insulting remarks towards Mr. Coleman and all who support his great work. Such a despicable person does not deserve to have a voice on our message board !!! |

Posted At 21:10:58 03/25/2002 Peter, I understand you’re reaction, but I must tell you that I am not the Steve G who posted these insulting posts. That was somebody else having the same names as me. This may not be clear at first since I refer to the fact that Mr Coleman removed my post (not the many posts you mention). But the post I mentioned is not among the insulting ones to which you refer. Let me clear this up: Last week, I had posted that I was a fan of the movie “Heidi” and it had special significance to me because when very young, I lost my little dog in the woods. Mr. Coleman said he must remove my post because it was not about The Time Machine. I argued there was a link because my little dog looked similar to “Wishbone” who played the role of the Time Traveller also. Mr. Coleman said this was too distant a parallel to justify the analogy. I also told Mr. Coleman I was not the one who posted the insulting posts even though my names is identical, so Mr. Coleman suggested that, to distinguish myself from the “insulting Steve G”, I should add next to my name “real one”. Therefore, you should know that when a post is signed “Steve G. (real one)” it means I am NOT the lowly person who posted insulting remarks towards Mr. Coleman, but the other one who like and admire Mr. Coleman. Steve G. (real one – NOT mean one) |

Posted At 22:21:03 03/25/2002 Well, Steve, this is getting mighty confusing ! I wasn’t aware there were any ambiguities as to the possibility there was more than one “Steve G.” However, I am willing to accept your explanation (as unlikely as it seems) and give you the benefit of the doubt. If what you say is true, then no doubt we can accept “Good Steve (real one)” as one of us. Just one other thing, Steve: To the best of my knowledge, “Heidi” is a story about a little girl, not a little dog ! |

Posted At 12:33:05 03/26/2002 I guess I spoke too soon. I had no idea there were two people calling themselves "Steve G." Well, obviously, my comments pertain to the nice (yet somewhat confused) "Steve G" and not to that despicable person who you say insulted repeatedly the people who created this beautiful site ! |

Posted At 14:42:41 03/26/2002 Hi all Time Machine fans! I have recently purchased a computer right after I saw the Time Machine movie in the theatre..I found out about Don's site for the movie and the first movie that was done on the Time Machine! I have found many interesting things here since I have begun visiting but then I started searching through the Message Boards. I am not too certain that what goes on in the Message Boards has anything to do with the movies! What is all this bickering about? We are all fans of the book, the movies... Don Coleman has given us all the means to invest some time researching our favorite science-fiction story. Why waste time fueling a debate that has no cause or solid basis in total understanding of facts? I had read the insults mentioned in the emails above, and I found that the person who left them is pretty one-sided on the issue... he needs to broaden his scope of understanding. No where else on the World wide web can anyone find such an all-encompassing tribute to one of the gretatest science fiction tales ever written! Take a moment to realize... This is something we all wish we could do... and in such grand style too! My hat is off to Mr. Don Coleman and to Mr.Don Brockway (who maintains another great site that I have seen recently)! These two gentlemen have tried to make the vision live on for all of us! Be grateful for their fine efforts! And please stop the heated verbal exchanges with one another! I will state for the record that this site, along with Mr. Brockway's are truly deserving of the honors that we can bestow upon them! They both have made the Time Machine travel on into the Future! Thank you for a job well done!!!!!!! |

Posted At 16:20:00 03/26/2002 You're quite right Wayne. We have had (and will continue to have) great CONSTRUCTIVE debates on this message board, thanks to Mr. Coleman who has made it possible for us all. It's just too bad when people such as this "Steve G (mean one)" attempt to spoil it for us all with the insults he's posted over the last few weeks. That said, we very much look forward to read your posts regarding The Time Machine ! |
