The subject was addressed in another string: "Toys etc. on new movie".

There has been no sign of any such toys in local stores and they are unlikely to be marketed because the Machine and characters of the story are not really "action figures" - i.e.: a Time Machine does not race or fly, it just stays there !

Here we go again with the toy and action figure stuff! Does anyone think this new film is worth merchandising in such a manner? Does anyone think the movie was that great that it deserves a playset?????? Geesh! Go out and buy a Barbie or a G.I. Joe if you want a worthwhile collectible! Guy Pearce or Samantha Mumba as action figures??? They have not even established themselves as top box office stars...yet! Ask yourself why any toy manufacturer would invest the TIME...

A toy and a model are quite different things. The DreamWorks Time Machine is most likely too complex in design to produce as a toy and, besides, there would be no market for it.

The only possibility for a model of this machine to be produced is if a limited edition kit producer such as Lunar Models or Masterpiece Models (or another similar enterprise) decides to introduce such a model.

The only way for that to happen is for interested parties to contact such enterprises and suggest that they consider it. Only if there is enough demand would they move ahead with such a project.

We are a high quality collectibles maker. We are interested in making a model of the time machine. We believe it would make an exquisite, unique high-end collectible. Our thoughts are that it would rotate the drum electricially.
