While revising my photo files of Tantalus boxes today, I did come across one example of a box motif that features tortoise shell inlay. The effect and coloration look different than what appears in the movie; but it is really hard to come to any conclusion because the camera never comes close enough to the box for us to see the motif in sharp detail and determine the exact texture of the materials used. |
