Every year for Halloween, Heather Gunn in Long Beach California decorates her front yard for Halloween. In 2024 the theme was inspired by The Time Machine from the 1960 George Pal film. The crowning piece was a full size inflatable head of the Morlock Sphinx at 6 miters high. Also in the display, a full size rendition of the machine, a skeletal Weena with talking rings, a skeletal Eloi with plate of food, the mannequin changing clothes in the front window, and various Morlocks lurking about. Creative lighting and smoke carried off the look very well. |

Does this Morlock look familiar? They used a photo of Dug and had a cardboard standee made of him for their display. |

the side window near the door, they used rear screen projection to project
