The evening began with a short background on the history of Republic Pictures presented by Marc Wannamaker noted Hollywood historian. Following Marc's presentation several trailers from serials were shown to acquaint the audience with what the serials were about. Next on the agenda was an open Q&A with a panel comprising Bob Burns, Marta Waller (daughter of Aline Towne) and two of the descendents of the owners of Republic. Following their panel, George was introduced and spoke about his career and and answered questions from the audience. Following the Q&A with George, George posed for photos and signed autographs. |
