Around 2017 I had the inspiration to retire and build my forever Time Machine which has been my goal since I first saw the film in 1960. At that time I had successfully built and subsequently sold two full size machines. The first was for an independently owned museum in Sacramento. The museum failed in time and the machine I built was sold to Tony Baxter, then a top executive at Disney. Tony's home is absolutely incredible and the machine fits in very well. That machine was built on a shoe string budget. I think I averaged 10 cents an hour for my wages, but hey, I'm building a time machine my holy grail. Second machine I built was mostly done since I felt I should have one in case someone needs to rent one. It did get rented and I put it on display at two Montsterpalooza shows. This machine eventually got sold in 2016 So now it's my turn to build my own. I learned a lot building the first two and thanks to Bob and Kathy Burns I was allowed to come to their home and take as many measurements as I wanted of the original machine so I now hope to have a very accurate machine for myself. I had begun to build parts for my machine when I was contacted by a collector to see if I would build one for him. Well, building two simultaneously might be beneficial and getting paid couldn't hurt so I said yes. That's how I am now building two full size time machines. One for me and one for a client. Then Covid 19 struck
and everything came to a grinding halt. It's been difficult getting
back up to speed on this project but I keep plugging along. The following pages represent where the build is on my clients machine. Some progress is moving on my machine but mostly concentrating on the client's. The links above will take you to the corresponding page. The links are replicated on each page so you don't have to return here to move forward. I'll try my best to update as the build progresses, thanks for your patience and understanding. Hey, not too bad for 73 huh? |
